F.Y.I : We are looking for people interested in sharing their experience of the school climate (secondary and collegial) in regards to homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality.
The research team is proud to haveable to mobolise young people from different parts of Quebec, but we are still actively seeking out other youths.
As you may have noticed in the media these past few weeks, the fight against homophobia, lesbophobia, and transphobia is now more then ever a priority. Whether it be within the government, schools, or community groups, voices are becoming more and more instant that homophobie acts, comments, attitudes be denounced here (here and elsewhere).
But in order for mentalities to change, and for our society to be transformed as to give more than a simple legal inclusion to sexual minorities, we need to know the extent to which homophobia and transphobia exist today. For this reason. We are documenting manifestations of homophobia, lesbophobia, and transphobia within the school environment and its impacts of the academic path of the young people it touches.
If you are a GLBT youth, between the ages of 14 and 24, and wish to share you experience with us, please contact:
| If you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, are in questioning or have a homosexual parent Audrey
If you identify as transsexual, transgender, trans, gender variant, or are in questioning Natalie.
